Today's HOT dish

HOT dish of the day: The majestic chinchilla

411: Chinchillas must regularly bathe in dust or volcanic ash to remove oil and moisture that gathers in their thick fur. In fact, they have the highest fur density of any land animal with more than 20,000 hairs per square cm, or almost as much as Lynn's majestic, thick curly doo. They are agile jumpers and can jump up to five feet above their head. In captivity they can live up to 20 years! In Chinese, they are called lóng māo, which literally means "dragon-cat".

Why are they the first HOT dish of the day? B/c you cannot resist their awesome cuteness power.

They are like guinea pigs on acid & might just bite your hand off if you ask nicely. But do look quite cute in that picture. In a celebrity death match I think Berkley would win by sheer merciless squeaky noseness.
(Judging by the pic-"fur density" is just a way of saying the chinchilla has about three double chins.

Oh snap! I'd fight you on that comment, but it is true, so I can't. So bring it on chinchilla! I bathe in dust and ash as well, and my hair has never looked better.

I heard once the key to the early-day FRIENDS co-stars' hair phenomenon was owed in large part to stylists using baby powder in their doo's. Maybe these dragon cats are onto something. Maybe they should also lay off the Cheetos. Oh! So adorable; I visited some at the pet store the other day. = awesome.
