Cool Nerd Alert #1
"Rick Steves' Europe" is an awesome show played here in the states on PBS. I love this show and I don't care who knows it, making Rick Steves my first Cool Nerd Alert. A tour guide by trade, he has written books as well as having radio and television programs. For someone like me, who has not yet been able to travel to Europe, it's a delightful eye candy feast of scenery, food, people, customs, art and culture through the eyes of an easy-going American nerd. He's relatable b/c he's not some overly-muscled x-treme sports fanatic going at everything w/out reserve or someone who will pretentiously review only a city's four-star offerings. Je l'adore! In the states, you can find listings at www.pbs.org.

Hey D, I thought I was the only dork that watched Rick Steves' Europe. I'm totally into world travel from my couch. This show and Lonely Planet used to be staples of my tv diet. If they ever make more Lonely Planet episodes, color me there!
There is another world traveler one on PBS I enjoy as well. Yeah for couch travel! I love those kind of shows. I like when the host is good about talking to locals - always an entertaining nugget, or tries some exotic food and doesn't pretend to like it. :) Speaking of traveling, TT...whut up with Friday?
I love Rick Moranis' Europe! Oh. What. That isn't Rick Moranis? Hmm. Anyhoo- I watched that show this weekend. I am 89% sure he was in Denmark - Aarhus to be exact. I think. I'm not too sure. I was coked out of my mind on benadryl because I broke out in hives. That will teach me for going outside.

I saw one on Sunday and Rick Steves was in Scotland. It was wicked cool. He got to play a bagpipe and visited the sites of some mean-ass Highlander v. Redcoat battles. Go Highlanders! Take that, rick moranis.
Rick Moranis v. Slimer! Winner takes Scotland and faces the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man at finals.

Referees = living gargoyle wolverines
That = awesome. Is it Stay Puff or Stay Puft. Puft could make more sense, but I don't think it is a real word.
Oops. That was me.
